"The Eastern Slope" March, '04In March '04 Elyse and I went to explore the Eastern Sierra. We spent some time at Mammoth ski resort, then soaked in the hotsprings. We visited Mono lake and I got a personal, private guided introduction to the geologic makings of Mono lake, and the forces that formed the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The weather was beautiful, making a bold contrast between the snowy mountains and the spring awakening of the desert below.
