Here's a little known fact; "Godzilla vs. The acid trip" was originally scheduled to be released in May of 2003. But budget restrictions lead to the films' cancellation early into shooting.
In this film, an organization of psychics is formed to stop Godzilla by delving deep into his mind. An accident occurs while Godzilla is tripping. One of those bears you see on Grateful dead merchandise is torn from Godzilla's mind and made real (and evil!)

This film takes a deep and thoughtful look at the dangers of drug abuse and its ill-effects on society.
Godzilla loves nothing more than to trounce through Tokyo, but the dreams of this promising giant radioactive lizard are crushed and he is forced to destroy his friend (and Tokyo.) None of which would have ever happened had he decided to go to church instead of disobeying his parents and sneaking off to a Phish concert.

This of course leads to the deeper question of what the hell I was smoking when I wrote this.
